After 16 years of development, UCS Shanghai Factory completed its historic mission in 2019 and transferred most of its production to its joint venture ally Hitachi Industrial Equipment (Suzhou) Compressor production centre. The Shanghai factory was then reorganised as the UCS prototype testing centre, taking on the responsibility of product development and testing to secure a good first pass for delivering quality to users. The 8 test sections of the Shanghai factory test over 100 prototype machines in various models yearly to accumulate rich data and performance guarantees for final mass production.
